Stilt Hut

Stilt Hut creates a raised timber den that children can use for imaginative play, talking, reading and quieter time away from the busiest parts of the playground. The raised form gives the hut a stronger sense of lookout and retreat while keeping the structure compact.

Raised play space

The pictured installation combines a hut and raised platform with a ladder and slide. When planning its position, the approach to the ladder and space around the slide need to be considered alongside surfacing and nearby play equipment.

It can be used as a standalone playground hut or considered alongside other Huts & Dens. For a wider playground layout, we can also discuss how den-style structures fit with adventure play, surfacing and the surrounding layout.
